Position: Bookkeeper

Reports to: CFO

Location: Iraq - Baghdad

 

Job Purpose

The Bookkeeper is responsible to maintain our financial records, including local purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our finance team and reporting to the CFO to create financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.

 

Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

 

Essential Job Functions

      Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions

      Responsible for the day-to-day petty cash, salaries, and only local purchases

      Recording of debits and credits

      Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions

      Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data

      Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards

      Any other task assigned by the general manager

 

Job Qualifications

      2 years of experience in a similar role.

      Extremely organized and demonstrates good planning skills

      University bachelor’s degree

      Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English language Professional use of computers and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
